The festival is getting closer and closer and we are excited to start telling you what we’ve been up to!

First, lets talk about our Women in Film Panel being held at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas on Saturday April 21st 1pm! We’ve got 5 awesome industry professionals coming to talk about their careers, where the industry is, and where it could be going!

A little more about our panelists…

Anita Long‘s expertise is in documentary filmmaking and has won awards from the Smithsonian Institute and has films in the Permanent Research Collection housed at the National Museum of American History; her work is published in the Library of Congress.
Heather Benson is a 3 time award winning #sfxmakeupartist and creature creator!
Katie Cokinos is a hometown hero! She recently wrote and directed ‘I, Dream Too Much’ and has bounced from location scouting, to running film related organizations, and was even a part of the early days of SXSW!
Molly Vernon is a seasoned film and theatre professional with over 65 IMDB credits to her name! She currently teaches at the Art Institute and she’s the Vice President of Women In Film and Television in Houston.
Jennifer Waldo is a writer/director who just produced ACID TEST, a short that premiered in the Austin Film Festival in October! She’ll be moderating this panel.
