Synopsis: Arturo travels to Santiago de Cuba just after the death of Fidel Castro to find an unknown woman whom he photographed in the parade on May 1 10 years ago. Spindletop: The Beginning 20 minutes
Synopsis: “Spindletop:The Beginning” is a period piece short film about the “The Prophet of Spindletop,” Pattillo Higgins, and his mischievous antics as a young teenager. Spindletop refers to the 1901 oil gusher in Beaumont which would change the economy of Texas and the Gulf Coast forever. Filmmaker may be in attendance.

Washington’s Armor 1 hour 38 minutes
Synopsis: The story takes place in Colonial America at a time of political turmoil due to the English and French both warring for American soil. As the American Indians carefully choose sides, George Washington gets an opportunity to prove his military capability and resolve, which strategically places him on this miraculous journey to becoming the first president of the United States of America. This story is not only filled with physical danger from the elements, but also the dangerous opposing parties make every decision a life or death one. Kent befriends his briefcase as it talks to and guides him through his journey, but other office supplies may not be as trustworthy or helpful.

Synopsis: A man questions his partners future on a romantic first date but soon realizes his future is the one in question.

Synopsis: Renowned worldwide, Rex and his Texas brethren forged a blueprint with Pantera that’s been studied by nearly every metal act that has followed. Throughout this intimate look into his musical journey, Rex shares personal stories surrounding his childhood, the bonds built between his band members, and the enduring legacy of Pantera.

Synopsis: With a career that spans over four decades and across the globe, Jamaican singer Pat Powell (Patou) is one of Australia’s most accomplished yet hidden vocal talents. Born in the UK to Jamaican parents, Pat left the racism of the UK as soon as he could, although ‘stupidly’ found his way to Australia with its own racism issues. Father to four children from different mothers with varying ethnic backgrounds, Pat’s children all identify differently and raise a discussion about racism and where identity comes from.

Town Band 22 minutes 22 seconds
Synopsis: Town Band is a 20 minute, short documentary that invites you to meet a volunteer town band. For over 80 years the band has played in the rural Catskill mountains of upstate New York. Traditional waltzes, polkas, show tunes, a spoon player, and the suspense of a pie raffle combine to remind us of how live music brings a community together and, for the length of the concert, how music pushes away our problems.

Synopsis: Despite what would seem to be a flourishing career, most recently playing Kermit on Showtime’s “Shameless”, Hollywood character actor Jim Hoffmaster struggles both professionally and personally. “Acting Like Nothing is Wrong” explores how he navigates life without a stable upbringing. The film poses universal questions and illuminates mental health issues we experience on a daily basis. Do we ever completely overcome our traumas? What are our coping mechanisms?
